Is the free tier actually useful?▼

Yes. Scout gives you full access to all five federal data sources for up to 5 locations. You get real-time flows, weather, tides, and buoy data with trend charts — plus trip reports with fish counts and field observations. It's a complete tool for anglers with a handful of go-to spots. We don't paywall public data or basic logging.

Can I try Angler features before subscribing?▼

We're planning a free trial period for Angler. Details will be available when subscription pricing is finalized. In the meantime, Scout gives you a genuine feel for the data quality and interface.

What happens to my data if I cancel?▼

All your data stays on your device. Your trips, observations, and field notes are yours — they're stored locally and never leave your phone. If you cancel a subscription, you keep read access to your historical data. You can also export everything as a JSON backup at any time.

Who needs the Guide tier?▼

Guide is designed for professional fishing guides and serious anglers who fish dozens of spots across multiple river systems. If you need unlimited locations and unlimited offline maps, Guide is your tier.
